For those who want to be empowered to take their health journey into their own hands, this abdominal massage connects your energetics and physicality through supporting your internal communication with touch, herbs, and self-inquiry.

My approach integrates teachings from the Tul'ix Indigenous Arts (formerly known as The Arvigo Techniques of Maya Abdominal Massage®), Lomi Lomi Hawaiian massage, myofascial release, craniosacral therapy, somatic inquiry, and herbalism.  I custom create sessions to help meet the needs of each client. This massage can include areas such as the "belly," diaphragm, psoas, uterus, sacrum, low back, and pelvis, and more. Much of this work revolves around supporting the organs for optimal functioning to help relieve symptoms. It is also supportive for lymphatic flow and gut-nervous system balancing.

 

It is common for the uterus to come out of physical alignment, leaning on other structures in the abdomen, and this massage helps to support proper position (how?! anything from falls to birthing to lifestyle body mechanics to emotional stress).  When the uterus is in alignment, one's life is in alignment. The first session includes an herbal pelvic steam or castor oil pack if appropriate and you leave with instructions on abdominal self-massage skills to continue your healing at home.
